About Pocketcommittee Tree Service and How Referrals Work

Who we are

Pocketcommittee Tree Service is a referral service for homeowners with a tree question. We do not climb, cut, or haul anything. We connect you with independent local providers in the Memphis area and help you know what to ask before anyone shows up.

Why this site exists

Plenty of people believe tree work is a guessing game, with prices pulled out of thin air. In practice, most jobs follow a pattern. Trees show signs first: dead limbs, fungus at the base, a new lean, cracks in the trunk, roots lifting the lawn. Spot those early and the job is usually smaller and the price clearer. Signs first, saws second. That idea shapes everything on this site.

How providers are matched

You tell us about your tree and where it stands. That might be near the house, over a fence, or close to a power line. Pocketcommittee Tree Service then points your request to a provider in our network who serves Memphis and nearby areas. Availability changes by provider, so Request a callback to check who can take your job. Many providers can respond quickly when a tree is a hazard, but timing depends on the weather and the work already on their schedule.

What we expect from providers

Providers in the network are independent businesses. We ask them to:

  • Give a clear written quote before work starts
  • Explain the plan in plain words, including cleanup and the stump
  • Hold the licenses and insurance their local rules call for
  • Treat your yard, roof, and fences with care
  • Arrive when promised, or tell you early if plans change

You should still ask to see proof of insurance. A good provider will not mind.

What we do not do

We do not perform tree work. We do not set prices, and we do not decide who gets a job. We also do not make insurance decisions. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim, but your insurer makes the final call.

You will not find made-up reviews or staff stories here, because Pocketcommittee Tree Service is not the one doing the work.

How Pocketcommittee Tree Service is paid

Providers in the network may pay a referral fee when a request turns into a job. Homeowners are not charged by Pocketcommittee Tree Service for being connected. What you pay for the work is agreed between you and the provider, so get the quote written.

A note on costs

Tree jobs vary a lot. In the U.S., small trimming jobs often run a few hundred dollars, while removing a large tree can reach several thousand. Height, access, nearby structures, and cleanup all change the number. Stump grinding is usually priced separately. A written quote shows you what is included.
